Now that spring semester classes are back in full swing for most high school and college students, it’s time to start thinking about upgrading last fall’s academic apparel and accessories. Where better to begin than bag… err, backpack shopping?
Chanel gave buyers a preview of its latest punk-inspired backpack (in stores this spring!) last September on the runway. The Chanel Bricolage Canvas Backpack has everything any playful fashionista would want to add to his or her repertoire. For style savvy Chanel shoppers looking for an accessory that breaks away from the brand’s traditional regal look, this graffiti backpack should definitely be on the spring shopping list.
Okay, so maybe it’s not exactly practical for carrying ten pounds of textbooks and a laptop to class. However, what this backpack may lack in functionality, the Chanel Bricolage Canvas Backpack makes up for in personality.
With its graffiti-inspired fabric design, a springy pastel chalk-meets-charcoal color scheme, and perfectly placed ropes and chunky chains that add loads of character, the Chanel Bricolage Canvas Backpack is sure to turn heads.
And turn heads it will, that is, if you’re willing to fork over a total of $3,400 USD for this fashion forward backpack. Whoever said graffiti couldn’t be high-class?
Personally, the bag is not my style. The Chanel Bricolage Canvas Backpack would most likely be found on the back of Taylor Momsen’s Gossip Girl character, Jenny Humphrey, (think seasons three and four) or on the back of a Kylie Jenner or Miley Cyrus-esque fashionista with a love for all things Chanel and a full bank account.
So, would you pay $3,400 USD for Chanel’s graffiti backpack? Let us know in the comments!
