All good things must come to an end. And for something so unbelievably good, like Psych, the end is very tragic.

For 8 amazing seasons we have watched Shawn Spencer and Burton Guster’s adventures as they worked with the Santa Barbara Police Department using Shawn’s “psychic” abilities – and oftentimes getting into a lot of trouble. For Psych-os, the characters on the show have become like family. We’ve seen Shawn and Gus grow up together, get into (and out of) relationships, have loved ones nearly arrested and other loved ones kidnapped by a serial killer. And every episode has left us wanting more.

Season 7 transitioned into this final season with a musical bang, and from there, Season 8 has proved to be just as awesome as all the rest. The crime-fighting duo has been overseas, the SBPD is under new management and all of our beloved characters have gone through so much since their start. I am excited to see how the season (and the series) will wrap up – but I will be very sad on the day it does.

For those of you who have not experienced the joy that is Psych, what you’re missing is a series with murder and mayhem, hilarious hijinks, witty banter and all kinds of sometimes-obscure ‘80s pop culture references. The final episode airs on March 26. After that, we’ll all just have to try to cope by watching and rewatching all of our favorite episodes. So don’t be exactly one half of an eleven pound black forest ham and go watch some Psych.
