So, you’re at San Diego Comic-Con, but you’re feeling a little crowded inside of the walls of the San Diego Convention Center? Never fear! There are plenty of fan-friendly events being held close to the convention for everyone to enjoy. Below are just a few of the options for some out-of-building fun.

MTV Fan Fest: Thursday, July 24, 7-11 p.m. @ Petco Park

For the first time, MTV and Tumblr have partnered up to bring MTV Fan Fest party to life, open to all Comic-Con badge holders. Don’t miss out on the free food, drinks, games, giveaways and a surprise guest or two. (Rumor has it that Linkin Park will be performing!) All of this fun will culminate into the first ever mtvU Fandom Awards, which honors the fans whose love of books, movies and television shows pushes the relatively unknown into worldwide success. To watch the awards, turn to MTV Sunday, July 27 at 8 p.m.

Orphan Black #CloneClub Meetup, July 25, 1-3 p.m. @ South Paw Social Club

For this outside event, BBC America and Tumblr have host the Orphan Black #CloneClub Meetup, a celebration of all things Orphan Black on Tumblr. And the best part? Admission is a first-come-first-serve basis, no Comic-Con badge necessary! So come out and celebrate Orphan Black away from your Tumblr dashboards with other fans and partake in awesome events like an Alison-inspired Cloneplay Theater Challenge, Cosima makeovers, a clone yourself photo booth, a Helena buffet and a ton of Orphan Black swag.

Game of Thrones: Survive the Realm Experience, July 24-27, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. @ Omni Hotel

Think you have what it takes to survive in the Game of Thrones realm? Now’s your chance to find out! Filled with authentic show props, plenty of photo opportunities and even a chance to climb The Wall, fans of George R.R. Martin’s world will have a great time at this off-site experience. And the first 2,000 visitors each day will receive exclusive Game of Thrones giveaways!

The Assassin’s Creed Experience, July 24-27, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. @ Hilton Gaslamp Lawn

The gaming world’s favorite assassin will have an interactive experience set up at Comic-Con this year, giving visitors the chance to test their skills in a full scale obstacle course. Parkour abilities will be pushed to their limits as participants make their way through the Assassin’s Creed Experience and survivors will be rewarded with a limited editon t-shirt. For a preview of what to expect, check out the experience’s promo video.

8th Annual Comic-Con Zombie Walk, July 26, 5 p.m. @ 180 First Ave., San Diego

There’s nothing better than a bit of Halloween in July, and Comic-Con visitors have the chance to dress up, play dead and participate in one of the largest zombie outbreaks of the year. Hundreds of undead participants will saunter through the Gaslamp Quarter. Who would want to miss this chance to get a little bit scary? There you have it. Plenty of options surround San Diego Comic-Con each year, and this list doesn’t even begin to scratch the surface. Do some research and make sure you take in all the fun Comic-Con has to offer, both for badge-holders and non-con attendees alike.
