Why I love ‘The Graham Norton Show’ and you will, too!

It’s no secret that I love all things celebrity and Hollywood. I may not be nearly as obsessed as I once was, but I do love a good celebrity interview, especially with my favorites. And you guys, Graham Norton is the show for that.

Don’t know what I’m talking about? Let’s back up a bit.

Graham Norton is a British talk show host who has his own show in the UK and luckily airs here on BBC America every Saturday night. Norton is a pretty big name in the UK and has been around a while. He’s known for being a bit flamboyant and crazy but also interviewing the biggest celebrities around, and that’s sort of what I love about him.

The Graham Norton Show is also so different from any other talk show out there. And I’ll tell you why:

1. On his show, all of the celebrity guests come out at once. All together. No matter what they are there to promote. And it makes for the best interviews. Seriously, one of my favorite episodes was with Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum and Julie Andrews. Everything about that trio was magical and honestly couldn’t happen anywhere else.

2. Norton has magical powers and can somehow get his guests to do the most random and amazing things. For example, he got Benedict Cumberbatch to show off his Beyonce walk. He also got Hugh Jackman, Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy to dance to “Blurred Lines” and on one of his most notable recent shows he had Will Smith and Alfonso Ribeiro reunite to do the famous “Carlton Dance.”

3.His guests get served drinks in actual drink glasses. So basically they own up to it when they’re sipping wine on stage and not hiding it in a random mug, which gives the show even more of a laid back and party-like feel.

4. Norton’s outfits. More specifically his suits. They’re always some crazy print and every week I find myself looking forward to what incredibly bold outfit he’ll be wearing this week.

5. The Big Red Chair. At the end of every episode Norton has a few audience members tell random stories in a very literal, Big Red Chair. If Norton or the guests don’t like the stories, they can pull a lever and knock the person over. Some celebrities love it, others have no idea what’s going on. Either way, the stories are always entertaining and everyone’s reactions make them even better.

Hands down I can say this is definitely my favorite talk show out there. I love that it’s only once a week, it’s funny and it’s British. I feel like those Brits can get away with anything and definitely make television a whole lot more interesting.

So set your DVRs and get ready to be entertained by a mix of your favorite celebrities and some you didn’t even know you loved.
