Although Emma Stone did not take home a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her work in Birdman, there is no denying that she had a hell of a year. The 26-year old star has been on the Hollywood circuit since her breakout debut in Easy A just four years ago (for which she earned a Golden Globe nomination right off the bat), showing her talent in versatile productions, from a superhero franchise to the black comedy (and Academy Award Best Picture) Birdman. There is no doubt that we’ll be seeing more of Stone, whether it’s on the red carpet, on stage or the big screen. She is, after all, unstoppable. Here’s how –

1. Emma Stone is the new Annie Hall
Stone took a spellbinding turn as a psychic/possible fraud in Woody Allen’s feature Magic in the Moonlight. Not even a year after the film’s release, Stone has joined Allen again for his latest film Irrational Man, starring Joaquin Phoenix. This could be the start of a long time collaboration; Allen made 8 movies with Diane Keaton, who won a Best Actress Oscar for their film Annie Hall – perhaps a win is in the cards for Stone?

2. Emma Stone made her Broadway debut in a Broadway classic
Stone debuted on Broadway in a gritty re-revival of Kander & Ebb’s Cabaret as the ill-fated and electric Sally Bowles. She received rave reviews for her run, which began in November and ended on February 15th. Stone says that she had dreamed of playing Sally since she was 10 years old, when she saw Natasha Richardson perform the role.

3. Emma Stone, live on Saturday Night
Another dream of Stone’s was to host Saturday Night Live, and so she did – twice. She hosted the show in October 2010 and returned just over a year later to host again in November 2011. She also took part in SNL’s 40th Anniversary Special, reviving the classic character Roseanne Roseannadanna, originated by Gilda Radner, in a Weekend Update segment. Across the board, Stone was referred to as “an SNL success.”

4. Emma Stone spikes down Hollywood sexism
Emma Stone’s sexism senses were tingling while on tour for The Amazing Spiderman 2. When boyfriend Andrew Garfield explained that Peter Parker sewed his Spiderman costume, despite it being “kind of a feminine thing” to do, Stone challenged him, asking “It’s feminine how?” Stone has taken both the upfront and the tongue-in-cheek approach to confronting Hollywood sexism, most recently at an Oscars luncheon. When Stone made her way to the podium for questions, a reporter remarked “You look beautiful, as always.” Emma responded with “Thanks – because that’s all that matters.” She earned appreciative giggles from the crowd.

5. Emma Stone is open about her anxiety
It is refreshing that, as a Hollywood starlet, Stone does not pretend to be immune to the pressure. She has been candid about her anxiety issues in the media, confessing having been “immobilized” by a history of panic attacks in her childhood, as well as suffering a panic attack on set of the rom-com Crazy Stupid Love. She cites baking and meditation as her go-to remedies for anxiety. She also credits her work in comedy as what got her out of her shell. “Comedy was my sport,” she told Vogue, “It taught me how to roll with the punches.”

Stone is a rare young star that has endless personality and versatility within her work. She used her passion and resources in order to quit high school and move to California when she was 14 years old, making a powerpoint for her family called “Project Hollywood.” It worked – and aren’t we glad it did?
