I don’t know about you, but I have an incredibly difficult time painting nice, neat, and equally sized lines when I try to do at home french manicures. Usually I get so frustrated about half way through that I whip out the remover and forget the whole thing. When I saw this post from Kirsten at Studs and Pearls, I was thrilled to see this simple and excellent solution to getting the perfect french manicure! Kirsten was kind enough to let us share her DIY here with you!
What You’ll Need:
– Nail polish of your choice for the base layer
– Nail polish of your choice for the tips
– Binder reinforcement stickers (at least 5)
– Nail polish remover
Let’s get painting:
step one: paint your nails with a clear base coat and then the color base coat of your choice
step two: cut the reinforcements in half
step three: once your nails are completely dry, place one of your pre-cut reinforcement halves towards the tip of each of your nails, pressing lightly to secure them.
step four: Take the color your going to use for the tips and wipe the excess paint off the brush before painting the tips of your nails using the reinforcements as a guard.
step five: allow your nails to dry.
step six: using a q-tip dipped in nail polish remover, carefully remove any nail polish from your fingers.
