The holiday season is finally upon us and Christmas is in the air! Still pondering what to buy your better half, sister, or girlfriend this year? Luckily, retailers like Ulta have made Christmas shopping a lot easier for us. There are some really great holiday gift sets out that are too good to pass up and would make any girl’s Christmas day!
My first pick is from Lorac:
Lorac and Ulta have released a beautiful “Sweet Temptations” set this year to indulge everyone’s “sweet tooth.” It comes with four mini palettes consisting of four eye shadows each, with enough flavors to satisfy any craving.
1) Satisfying Toffee Crunch – Natural Eye Shadow Palette
2) Indulge in White Chocolate – Dramatic Eye Shadow Palette
3) Tantalizing Dark Chocolate – Bronze Eye Shadow Palette
4) Tease Me Truffles – Plum Eye Shadow Palette
The set retails for $36 and is a serious bang for your buck considering a single Lorac eye shadow costs $19. All together, you’re receiving 16 different colored eye shadows for the price of 2 single pans – a pretty sweet deal in my opinion (pun intended)! The quality of these shadows is also impressive – I created a dramatic evening look using the Tease Me Truffles palette and it lasted for over 8 hours without a crease in sight. The texture and consistency of these shadows is super velvety and blendable so even makeup rookies can make these shadows look seamless during application. And the best part is is that the colors are extremely versatile. They can be used to create soft every day looks or intense party looks.
And honestly, who could resist this adorable packaging? When I brought these home my mom actually thought they were chocolates!
My second pick is from Bare Minerals:
Bare Minerals has released the amazing “A Vision in Velvet” set which includes 20, yes 20 mineral eye shadows. 10 velvet matte eye shadows and 10 velvet satin eye shadows. This set is an amazing deal. It retails for $79 and comes in a glittery, golden box sure to make any lady feel special and the shadows are packaged in a holiday themed gold pot rather than the standard black. This set is another example of a serious bang for your buck since one eye shadow from Bare Minerals costs $14.
I have always been an avid Bare Minerals fan and the shadows do not disappoint. They have great color payoff, long lasting power, and enough shadow in each pot to last you a really long time. People tend to shy away from loose shadows because they can be really shimmery, but these are all either matte or velvet textures so the shimmer is at a minimum and the quality is great for people with skin sensitivities since it’s pure mineral.

I hope this inspires you to check out some of the great cosmetics deals available for the holidays!
