There are many celebrities that I would love to meet someday. I would be beyond happy if I ran into Jason Segel, David Tennant, Alexis Bledel or Tina Fey on the street somewhere. But there is one celeb who I wish I could be friends with to an almost ridiculous degree.
Jennifer Lawrence, star of the Hunger Games movies, Silver Linings Playbook, and many other hugely successful films, is my ultimate celebrity friend crush. Check out the list below to find out why!
1.) She’s hilarious. This girl has got an amazing sense of humor. If you’ve ever watched or read interviews with her that becomes pretty clear. She’s always cracking jokes and isn’t too proud to poke fun at herself. Personally, I think sense of humor is one of the most important building blocks of a friendship. The best friends are the ones who can crack you up, even if you’re feeling awful. I have no doubt that Jennifer Lawrence would be able to do that!
2.) Fame hasn’t jaded her. So many celebrities seem like they think they’re above non-famous folks. They come off as arrogant or snobbish. Not Jennifer Lawrence! She acknowledges her fame, but it doesn’t seem like her success has changed her. I feel like she’s probably just a super laid back person, and she really cares about her fans. When Jennifer Lawrence and I are BFFs, I imagine that we’ll just hang out on the couch and probably eat ice cream and watch reality TV. And it will be fantastic.
3.) She loves food. A great number of Lawrence’s interview quotes have to do with food. I love this so much. She’s not obsessed with being stick thin or jumping on the fad diet bandwagon. On the red carpet at the Oscars, she had someone run to get her a meal from McDonalds and stopped mid-interview to make sure she had not forgotten to ask for fries and ketchup. As someone who appreciates a good meal, a fondness for food is important to me. It’s way more fun to go out to eat with someone who’s going to eat with you and not just pick at their plate.
4.) She has great style. Jennifer Lawrence has amazing taste in clothes, hairstyles, make up, and pretty much everything else. Honestly, who wouldn’t want to raid her closet? When JenLaw and I are best friends, I will gladly allow her to wear my favorite t-shirts and cardigans in exchange for the chance to wear one of her fancy dresses (or possibly a Katniss costume?!)
5.) She’s a good person. As I’ve mentioned before, I love that Jennifer Lawrence genuinely cares about her fans. She recognizes that she’s a role model for little kids, and she takes it super seriously. One of my favorite quotes by Lawrence came from an interview she did with Elle. In the magazine, she said, “I’m never going to starve myself for a part…I don’t want little girls to be like, ‘Oh, I want to look like Katniss, so I’m going to skip dinner’…I was trying to get my body to look fit and strong—not thin and underfed.” If that’s not awesome, I don’t know what is.
