Quirky Item of the Week: Colour Me Good Coloring Books

I, like many other women out there, find Mr. Ryan Gosling to be visually pleasing. I enjoy the different variations of the “Hey, Girl” meme, although the feminist version is my favorite, and I’m not going to say I’ll watch a movie just because my favorite Canadian goose is in it, but I won’t deny it either.

I  also like coloring a lot, perhaps more than a woman my age should. I blame this on my parents who were big time coloring contest people (they really were geniuses at keeping my brother and I busy).  Up until a few years ago we would occasionally still duke it out for the title of best color-er and if I suggested a contest today they would be whipping out the crayons, colored pencils, and paper before I could even lay down the rules (Yes, there are rules to coloring competitions, dad cheats and mom tends to spend way too much time on one spot).

Thus, my enjoyment of the Colour Me Good Ryan Gosling coloring book should come as no surprise. Any time I can combine two of my quirky interests in one fun activity, I’m all for it.

Now I realize all of you out there may not be Gosling fans, but fear not, there is a Colour Me Good coloring book for lots of fun pop culture interests! The artist behind the coloring books, Mel Elliot (read my interview with her here), has created versions for the 80’s & 90’s, London, Gingers (you know you want to color in Damien Lewis’ fiery locks), and her newest coloring creation coming out later this year will be called Swoon and include a variety of swoon worthy men!
