On May 26th, Arrested Development officially returned to the small screen after a 7-year-long hiatus! The original Bluth family has reunited for a 15-episode season, all of which is accessible on Netflix. This season, unlike the prior three, which dealt with Michael Bluth (Jason Bateman) trying to keep his family together, separates the Bluths. Each family member has their own episode dealing with their individual ‘arrested developments’ and attempts to break away from the rest of the family. The episodes, which take place in the same time frame, feature one particular character per episode and how they are dealing with a film about the Bluth family scandal.

The entirety of the original cast has returned including Jason Bateman, Michael Cera, Jessica Walter, Will Arnet, and David Cross. However this season also features reoccurring characters from the last season such as Andy Richter, Liza Minnelli, Ben Stiller, and Ed Helms. Not to mention new faces with guest stars like Kristen Wiig, Conan O’Brian, John Krasinski, Isla Fisher, and Seth Rogan.

If the star-studded cast and instant accessibility are not enough to make you want to marathon through the season, you may want to tune in for all of the long-awaited new material. Arrested Development is towel known for it’s reoccurring phrases and plays on words throughout the series. This final season has not spared a single pun, like in Lindsay’s episode “Red Hairing” and Buster’s “Off the Hook”.

The show, which originally was cancelled by FOX due to low ratings, became a cult classic and is still critically acclaimed to this day. The main cast and guest stars give it their all for the final season. Although seven years have passed since the show’s cancellation, the relationships between the Bluths have barely skipped a beat. So whether you marathon through all of season 4 or savor each long-awaited episode, keep in mind “There’s always money in the banana stand.”
