The Best (and the worst) of Kardashian Holiday Cards

The Kardashians shared their 2013 family Christmas card and no matter how you feel about the socialite family, I think we can all agree that the photo is a little odd.

I happen to be one of the people who is rather indifferent to this group, but when I’ve happened upon their Christmas cards in the past, I remember liking them. I thought they were fun and pretty and kind of a really expensive version of something that a typical family would be doing. After I saw this one, I thought I’d take a look at past cards and see how they all compare.

2013, seen above, I think is the worst one that I’ve seen from them. Not only do I not see Christmas represented (unless you’re going to say that capitalism is alive and well in this picture), I don’t really see this as a family shot. It would have been super easy to take all of these separate and combine them later. While I don’t know if that’s what happened, the fact that it could have means that this is not a family shot. (Especially since Rob Kardashian is totally missing!)

2011 is also a little odd. I’d say that it’s a decent family portrait, but I’m still not seeing much holiday here. At least all spouses and kids were included though, right?

2010 Again another shot without a lot of holiday in it. Perhaps it’s the cheer that I feel is missing in these. I’d say it’s better than 2011 and 2013 because it does look like they were all at some nice event and decided to get a picture together. If they looked like they were having fun though, I think this would be even better!

2012 Gets us into the holiday spirit. There is obviously celebration, Lamar Odom and Scott Disick are there with their Kardashian women and everyone buty Scott looks like they are having fun. Why the big change in just one year guys? I love this!

I don’t know exactly what year this was, but it’s definitely a favorite. If I was just flipping through Christmas cards that people had sent and this was somehow in the mix, I would have to look twice to notice which family it is. I’m sure they had some fantastic photographer who they are all actually looking at in the photo, but this snapshot here makes them look so normal that I can’t help but love it!

2008 and 2009 are tied for my favorite Kardashian Christmas cards. They each represent my favorite kinds of cards.

In 2009, Ryan Seacrest makes an appearance because this is obviously a shot from Khloe and Lamar’s wedding that September. It’s a great shot of everyone and they were obviously enjoying the day. I love holiday cards that are a great moment from the year leading up to them!

And then we have 2008. Kris Jenner seems like the kind of mom who has themes for these shots, just like my mom had us in matching sweatshirt every year. As cheesy as those are, I kind of love it. The theme-type photo is alive and well in the 2008 Kardashian holiday card and it makes for a wonderful photo. They’re proud to be part of this family, they’re getting a little silly with the youngest on the ladder, and it’s just a great card.

What’s your favorite Kardashian card and what do you think makes for a great Holiday card in general? Leave a comment below and let us know!
