Lately, I’ve been on a DIY binge, especially with Christmas around the corner. To me, there is nothing more special than giving a gift that is unique to the person receiving it and was crafted by my own two hands. It makes my heart smile just thinking about it. After weeks of searching, I think I’ve found the perfect gift to try out this year, and it’s so simple you may not believe it: infused sugar and sea salt.

House of Earnest’s Infused Sugar and Sea Salt only requires a handful of items, most of which you can find at your house. All you need is some sea salt or sugar, an herb, spice or flavoring, and a jar. Let it sit for about a week, throw on a label, and you’ve got yourself a delicious gift that anyone can use. In the post, House of Earnest used sea salt and rosemary, but don’t be afraid to try lavender, citrus, chili pepper or other fragrant flavorings.

And it’s just that simple. No if’s, and’s, but’s or catches, just an easy DIY project that will impress friends, family and foodies alike. Remember the possibilities are endless, so think of the gift receiver when making this gift, and it’ll make it that more special. Check out the Full DIY over at House of Earnest.
