Last year it was Emerald, this year it is Radiant Orchid. Pantone has named this delicious purple, color of the year. This means we are going to see a smattering of pinks and purples across every market; from spring couture lines to household products to a plethora of make-up lines.

“Radiant Orchid reaches across the color wheel to intrigue the eye and spark imagination,” said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute. “An invitation to innovations, Radiant Orchid encourages expanded creativity and originality, which is increasingly valued in today’s society.”

Radiant Orchid is a color that emotes joy, love and health. It is a harmonious combination of fuchsia, pink and purple. It’s a color that I can see everywhere from my comforter to my lipstick. Don’t you?

Today I am bringing you six fabulous finds that you need in your wardrobe going forward. Radiant Orchid will be the quintessential spring color, so let’s start shopping for it! These are some of my favorite brands. The YSL lip-gloss is at the tippity-top of my wish list. I may just go buy it today. If you prefer lipstick to lipgloss I suggest going to the NARS lip pencil route. It’s a gorgeous hue and will last forever.

I am crushing big time on this wool jacket from Topshop. I would rock it with an all black ensemble to ensure the color really pops. I can see all the editors wearing colorful coats like this to February’s fashion week.

This fall I practically lived in my olive and cranberry colored cords. They really dressed up my outfits and were a fun alternative to jeans and black riding pants. Spring calls for cooler colors and flowery hues. These Rag & Bone colored skinnies will be your best friend.

The Tory Burch make up bag and Rebecca Minkoff side bag are just obvious selections. As the winter closes in and the coldest months quickly descend upon us, it will be essential that you have some pops of color in your wardrobe to keep that smile on your face. What do you think? Is Radiant Orchid on your radar yet? It should be!
