In the dark comedy, Friended to Death, Michael Harris (Ryan Hansen) fakes his own death via Facebook to see who’s sad to see him go, leading to a series of unexpected and hilarious events. With lots of laughs, a touch of social commentary and a fabulous supporting cast including Zach McGowan (Black Sails/Shameless), James Immekus (Once Upon a Time, Boxboarders) and Richard Riehle (Office Space, The Man from Earth), Friended to Death is a must see indie comedy.

The Daily Quirk caught up with Friended to Death Writer/Producer Ian Michaels and Writer/Producer/Director Sarah Smick (who both star in the film as well!) at the Cinequest Film Festival to talk what inspired the film, the film’s commentary on social media, and some of their favorite scenes to film. Check out the exclusive interview below!
