When it comes to film with a purpose, Gabe Cowan is making strides. An American filmmaker and producer, Cowan founded the New Artists Alliance (NAA), an organization focused on supporting first time directors while distributing profits to the cast and crew. Like a proud papa, Cowan attended the Tribeca Film Festival to support the fruits of his labor – not one, but two NAA films, Loitering with Intent and Just Before I Go, which premiered at the festival!
The Daily Quirk caught up with Cowan between premieres to discuss the NAA film philosophy, working with first time director Courtney Cox and InsideOUT, a screenwriting program for juveniles being tried as adults. Watch the exclusive interview feature below!
