Friends is one of the greatest shows of all time. I won’t add arguably one of the greatest shows because no one that has seen an episode of the hit NBC show would ever argue that it wasn’t among the best shows ever created. The 20th anniversary of the show’s premiere is approaching! What better way to celebrate its birthday than to recognize some of the top episodes of all time.
“The One With The Boobies”
Every show in syndication has that one specific episode that no matter when you turn on the TV it’s always the one that happens to be playing. For me, “The One With Boobies” is that episode. Whenever I turn on Friends, “The One With The Boobies” is always on. No complaints here! It is one my favorite episodes of Friends as well as a fan favorite.
“The One With Ross’s Wedding”
In 1998, NBC made all of us jump off our couches with five simple words, “I, Ross, take thee Rachel.” “The One With Ross’s Wedding” was the finale cliffhanger to end all cliffhangers. Not only is it one of the most surprising episodes of Friends, it’s also one of the funniest.
“The One With All The Thanksgivings”
Chandler’s Flock of Seagulls hair and Ross looking like a member of Hall and Oates are enough to make “The One With All The Thanksgivings” one of the best of the series.
“The One Where Everyone Finds Out”
Proving once again the gang can’t keep a secret, “The One Where Everyone Finds Out” has Monica and Chandler trying to hide their London fling and budding relationship from the rest of the group – and failing miserably.
“The Last One”
Take note any show from this moment on, this is how you end a show. You don’t ignore what the fans want and you don’t stray away from the shows dynamic, and you definitely don’t kill off the mother (Looking at you, How I Met Your Mother). “The Last One” is perfect and still holds up today. She got off the plane and there were tears in my eyes.
Fingers crossed for a 20th anniversary reunion special!
