At New York Comic-Con, The Daily Quirk sat down at a roundtable with Emily Hampshire, who plays Jennifer Goines in Syfy’s 12 Monkeys. In a very animated interview, she shared where she drew her original inspiration from when auditioning for her new role, and discussed the similarities and differences between the show and the movie version of 12 Monkeys, in which her character was originally a man played by Brad Pitt. “It’s completely new and completely the same in this weird way,” Hampshire described. Hampshire also admitted she was not always into the sci-fi genre. Now however, she has embraced her new love for everything sci-fi and time travel, and is on her way to becoming a DeLorean (Back to the Future lover). For all of that and more, check out the video below!

I think she might have dropped a bit of a spoiler there. As a show watcher, I think “The Night Room” is a big deal that she ought not be discussing. I hope the showrunner didn’t get on to her to bad.

I hope she didn’t get into any real trouble for the slight spoiler-y comment about “The Night Room”. I don’t think it was a major issue, I do think it was probably outside the realm of what the producers and showrunner wanted her to say. Which was just a minor oversight. I just always hear the people from Marvel saying that a sniper is waiting in the wings to take them out, should they decide to say more than is appropriate/allowed. So, I don’t know how big a fine or what type of reprimand might be given. I just hope she didn’t have to sit through a long, boring lecture of some sort, be docked pay, or even have a smaller role on the show now. I would be the first to admit that only the lecture seems likely.
