As the cold weather rolls around, it can feel almost impossible to get yourself motivated to work out. After all, there isn’t much better than laying next to a fire with snacks and your favorite TV show when it’s not so nice outside, am I right? Well as nice as that can be, staying on top of a fitness routine is essential to keeping yourself feeling healthy and happy. Although the weather probably isn’t pumping you up too much, a good playlist can work wonders on getting you up and active. Check out these songs if your workout playlist needs a boost!

“Work Bitch” by Britney Spears

Nothing is quite as motivating to work out as Britney Spears singing in your ear, “You want a hot body? . . . you better work, b*tch.” Now get to work!

“Diva” by Beyoncé

Almost any song by Queen B can be a gym power song, but “Diva” is one of my personal favorites. Leave it to Beyoncé to remind you that females are just as strong (in every sense of the word) as men are. Now go lift those heavy weights, girl.

“Bulletproof” by La Roux

“Bulletproof” is one of my go-to cardio songs. The beat is perfect for keeping up with a quick tempo, and the lyrics make you feel like you can’t give up. ‘Nuff said.

“0 to 100 / The Catch Up” by Drake

Sometimes there’s nothing like hip-hop and aggressive lyrics to get you to release pent-up energy or frustration. Plus, this song is a great reminder that you can reach your goals no matter where you’re starting from or who might be holding you back.

“Bang Bang” by Jessie J, Ariana Grande, & Nicki Minaj

This talented trio certainly has no trouble making sexy, confidence-boosting music, and sometimes that’s just what you need to feel good during a workout. After all, that is the ultimate goal of exercising.

Add these five songs to your playlist, and you’ll start feeling pumped up in no time. Get off your couch, put down the cookies and get moving!
