As a self-proclaimed nerd, I feel warranted in stating that when you are a geek, you are obsessed with all things geeky. And I truly mean obsessed. We buy replicas of characters’ wands from Harry Potter. We have plastic lightsabers from Star Wars. We have sonic screwdrivers from Doctor Who. I know it’s not just me.

What makes a geek unique is his or her unwavering love and apparent need for anything that has to do with a fandom they love. Slap a Harry Potter logo on a napkin, and I’ll unashamedly admit that I’m much more likely to consider purchasing that napkin. If you’re a true nerd like me, then this Quirky Item of the Week is perfect for you and your Star Wars obsession.

From Thinkgeek, the Star Wars Han and Leia bathroom hand towels are the perfect gift for any fan. The towels are embroidered in a silver-gray thread with one of the most iconic moments of the original trilogy: when Princess Leia finally says, “I love you” to Han Solo, and he only replies with, “I know” before being frozen in carbonite. Rebel Alliance logos are embroidered in a line along with the Star Wars logo on the opposite side of the towel. A set, with a silhouette of Leia on one and Han on the other, is available for $19.99 USD on Thinkgeek.

These are the perfect geeky items. They mix an obsession for an amazing series with a product that is essential and purposeful. It’s not just another lightsaber that will sit on a shelf until you feel the need to turn it on and swing it around as if you suddenly discovered the Force and became a Jedi. Just me?

These hand towels are the perfect way to display your Star Wars love in a classy, tasteful manner. Impress your fellow geeky friends without completely disappointing your mom with yet another Star Wars purchase.
