April 2015

Looking for a little something new to add to your go-to playlist? Wondering what tunes we can’t stop playing on repeat? We’ve got you covered! Check out what we’ve been listening to this month for music recommendations from your friends at The Daily Quirk. Happy Listening!

“My Type” by Saint Motel

I dare you to put this on and try not to wiggle. I played this for a kitchen staff made up of everyone from the age of 16-60 and all of us couldn’t help but shake it! – Sarah Fenerty

“Way out there” by Lord Huron

It has an indie meets folk vibe–I’ve had their entire album, Strange Trails on repeat all week!. Lindsay Roussin

“Talking Body” by Tove Lo

I’m obsessed! It’s super catchy and sexy and I cannot stop listening! – Sydney Braga

“XO” Cover by John Mayer

I really feel like I should not like John Mayer’s cover of “XO” as much as I do. It almost pains me to admit how many times I’ve listened to it since I discovered it on Spotify- so I won’t. Ashley Gebhardt

“Colors” by Marc Robillard

I watch a lot of GSN, and when I heard this song in one of their commercials, I had to check it out. It’s so upbeat and catchy. The chorus has been stuck in my head for days. – Kali O’Rourke

“Mug Shot” by MAX

I think this has a super fun music video, and it makes for a fun road trip song to keep pumped up. – Sara Katherine Johnson

“Mandy” by Barry Manilow

I just saw him in concert so I cannot get this song out of my head. I know you know this song if you watched the 90’s movie Can’t Hardly Wait! Ah, so many emotions! – Ashley Bulayo

“The Dollop” with Dave Anthony and Gareth Reynolds

With Tribeca Film Festival happening this month I’ve been listening to the podcast “The Dollop” on my everyday commute. I always find myself giggling alone like those crazy people on the subways. – Tara Robinson

Listen to the playlist here, and check back next month for music recommendations!
