What We’ve Been Listening to: September 2015

Looking for a little something new to add to your go-to playlist? Wondering what tunes we can’t stop playing on repeat? We’ve got you covered! Check out what we’ve been listening to this month for music recommendations from your friends at The Daily Quirk. Happy Listening!

“Omen” by Disclosure feat. Sam Smith

Ever since Latch came out back in 2012, I’ve been waiting patiently for the two artists to come together again, and Omen definitely doesn’t disappoint! It’s catchy, upbeat, and something I’m sure I’ll be listening to on repeat for quite some time. – Taylor Hannan

“Vox Populi” by 30 Seconds to Mars

It’s hard to choose just one from this band. They are basically flawless, but for some reason this song is sticking with me right now. It is one of my favorites on that album, and there’s just something about the claps and the stomps that add something to this catchy tune. – Chelsie Skroback

“Drag Me Down” by One Direction

The lack of Zayn is noticeable (despite Harry’s attempts at singing like him in the second verse) but the song is catchy enough to make up for it. – Mallory Walker

“What Do You Mean” by Justin Bieber

Yeah, people hate on him but you can’t deny he makes good, catchy music. (I mean, remember “Baby”?) I’ve put this on REPEAT ever since I heard it on Spotify. Plus, with his somewhat odd performance at the VMAs and the fact I’m still not sick of it… It’s a win for me! – Ashley Bulayo

“First” by Cold War Kids

I’ve always been a fan of the band but when I heard this song I fell in love the beat is really good. Don’t judge me if you see me screaming the lyrics alone in my car. – Tara Robinson

“Poison” by Rita Ora

Rita Ora barely crossed my radar before this track started popping up on every Spotify playlist, but I am a sucker for a fun pop song and “Posion” is just that. – Ashley Gebhardt
