Last year Shonda Rhimes did not disappoint when she premiered another amazing drama in the #TGIT lineup on ABC, How to Get Away with Murder. With only fifteen episodes in Season One, it definitely packed a punch. There was murder (duh), there was romance, there was suspense and there were some badass characters in the forefront. With that, here are five reasons why I’m ready and excited for Season Two (warning spoilers ahead).

A whole new murder to solve.

Spoiler alert: We know who killed Sam – it was pretty much everyone on the Keating team.

Spoiler alert: We know who killed Lila – it was Frank, at Sam’s request

Spoiler alert: Rebecca was murdered in the season finale – and we have no idea who did it.

I went back and forth about Rebecca all season long, but now that she’s dead I guess that answers that. Now I want to know who killed her. How will they cover up? Will that person actually get away with it? Will the rest of the team even know she’s dead?

New cases.

If there’s one thing I love about this show it’s the cases Annalises’s firm takes on. Like any Shonda Rhimes show, the small stories and cases are some of the more interesting plot points. They’re creative. They’re sometimes ridiculous, but man are they fascinating.

Shonda is a master.

It’s no secret that Shonda Rhimes is amazing. And I’ve been addicted to almost every show she’s created. With that, I know she’s got great things in store for Season Two.

Viola Davis.

She’s won an Emmy for Season One. That should say it all. But really, her performance in the first season of How to Get Away with Murder was fantastic. She was raw, she was emotional and you didn’t always know whether to love her, hate her or want to be her. She brought Annalise Keating to life in a way I don’t think anyone else could. I’m just excited to see where she’s bringing her this season now that her husband is dead, her lover is wary, her sister-in-law is still skeptical and she’s got a dead Rebecca in her basement.

The fashion.

I’ve never had an eye for fashion or been in the know with trends and designers, but I do know that everyone on the show looks freaking fabulous. While I still want everything Olivia Pope has ever worn, the Keating crew is bringing it. The jewelry, the fancy coats, the power suits (they are lawyers after all) and the purses. Yes. Please. And thank you.

Season Two of How to Get Away with Murder premieres Thursday, September 24 on ABC.
