The long wait is over. No, really. Fall shows are finally BACK and in full swing. Trust me, I have my TV schedule on my phone along with my DVR ready to record anything new. That includes Season 2 of The CW’s iZombie! Why would anyone want to miss that?
Let’s do a quick recap of the finale and just a heads up, this is a major *SPOILER ALERT* for anyone who has not watched last season’s finale. You have been warned. First off, Major was turned into a zombie then healed. Then you have Blaine who is no longer a zombie. Let’s not forget, there’s Max Rager who wants to eradicate all zombies. Oh, and the icing on the cake? Liv’s brother was hurt in an accident and he needs blood. Of course Liv and Evan are the same blood type but you know… She’s kind of a zombie so that choice is a no-go unless she reveals her secret to her family and the rest of the hospital.
Fast forward to Season 2… WHERE WILL WE GO FROM HERE? Excuse me, but I haven’t been this on edge about a television show since Buffy The Vampire Slayer which is fitting since both shows have a strong leading female character which, I cannot stress this enough, we need more of. There are so many questions for this new season such as: What will Blaine do with his life now? Is Evan going to die? How will Major react now knowing that Liv is a zombie and will there be any side effects to this remedy she gave him? We never really saw what happened to the rat a few days after trying the remedy that Ravi created. And where the heck did Peyton run off to?
Surely (but definitely slowly) all these answers will be revealed and more questions will be created this season. Plus, we’ll have even more personalities to enjoy and by the looks of it (and due to spoilers revealed during their panel during San Diego Comic Con), we’re starting off with old man brains, frat boy brains and a real housewives of Seattle brain. Based off last season, I’m sure Rose McIver will kill at portraying whatever brain thrown her way.
I don’t know about you, but I’m hoping to hear more about Clive and Ravi’s stories. We barely know their history since they didn’t grow up with Liv. Oh, and since this season’s “big bad” is Max Rager, I’m excited and kind of nervous to see where the writers will go with that one.
