Few things can ruin a day like dull, dry or broken out skin. A majority of confidence comes from having clear skin, so it’s hard to feel 100% pretty when your skin isn’t up to par. Luckily, you can have some control over your skin! Read below for ways to get your skin bright and clear and keep it that way.
Exfoliate in moderation
To get clear, bright and soft skin, it is extremely important to exfoliate. Using an exfoliating wash helps pull away dead skin that dulls and dries out skin. But there is a happy medium for how much to exfoliate; over exfoliating can make skin red and blotchy or even cause it to over produce oil, leading to acne. Try exfoliating no more than two or three times a week.
Use a moisturizer with SPF-every day
Skin that is well hydrated will look a hundred times better than skin that is parched. Using a daily moisturizer can do wonders for dry, flaky or tight skin. Adding SPF into the mix helps protect skin from sun damage and keeps freckles, age spots and wrinkles at bay.
Drink more water
Water is an important key for healthy skin. Toxins build up over time and can make skin look lackluster and older. Drinking plenty of water each day can help flush out toxins and make skin glow from the inside out. Extra water will also help keep skin hydrated.
Remove all makeup at night
Makeup left on overnight can inflame skin and make you look blotchy, red and bring on acne. Before hitting the pillow for beauty sleep, be sure to completely take off all makeup to assure your skin can breath. Sleeping with a clean slate helps fight off bacteria and acne while allowing your skin to rejuvenate from the day.
Clear, bright and glowing skin is within your reach with the tips above. Everyone should feel confident in their skin, and with proper care your skin can always look phenomenal.
