With the newest Doctor – Peter Capaldi’s Twelfth Doctor – primed to hit our screens later this month, now is as good a time as any to look at what the previous three Doctors in the revived Doctor Who have been up to since leaving the show. Continue reading
It’s a dark film about mother and son escaping their wasteland home and venturing into mystery (the underworld and an underwater town, specifically). It has a curious mix of stars such as Ryan Gosling, Saoirse Ronan, Christina Hendricks, Eva Mendes and Matt Smith attached to it. The characters are called names like Rat and Bully. Lost River (previously titled How to Catch a Monster – much cooler, in my opinion) sounds awesomely strange on paper. But Gosling’s directorial debut is getting quite a strong reaction, and not all so great. Continue reading

The episode opens on Clara Oswald, the Doctor’s current companion, narrating about how she was born to save the Doctor while we see her meeting and interacting with the Doctor’s many different regenerations. Continue reading
I am relatively new to Who. I began the revival series last autumn when I randomly came across and immediately fell in love with the Eleventh Doctor. Upon getting up-to-date with Eleven, I went back and watched the Ninth and Tenth Doctor in a matter of weeks, all in time to watch the second half of series seven as it airs.
Though I have yet to cover the majority of the show’s nearly 50-year history, Doctor Who has already managed to provide me with more life lessons in a few short months than all of my other television viewing experiences combined. Continue reading
