The Angel Ball is not only the signature fundraising event for Denise Rich’s Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation, it is the highlight of the social season in New York City. Attendees included Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, Jamie Foxx, Sophia Vergara, Kris Jenner, Tina Knowles, Ludacris, Lala Anthony, Halle Baldwin, Paris and Nicky Hilton and many, many more. The Daily Quirk was on the red carpet catching up with these celebrities who were there to support, give back, and help find a cure. We heard from guests like actress Brittany Daniel, The Today Show’s Hoda Kotb, and singer/songwriter Natalie Cole. We also got the first look at the surprise musical guests for the evening. The Daily Quirk got to take an inside look at the Ink Fusion Tattoo Festival at Megacon in Orlando, FL, to find out from two of the festival’s artists, Kelly Rogers and Mike Bianco, just what makes the world-travelling tattoo festival which specializes in sci-fi and comic book tattoo artistry, including Spider Man, Thor and Doctor Who themed pieces, so awesome, and how much fans love their superheroes. A semi-biographical film written and directed by Miguel Ali, Confessions of a Womanizer explores the humor and darkness behind Ritchie’s (Andrew Lawrence) sex addiction. Unable to connect with any of his sexual partners beyond a physical release, Ritchie meets a transgender prostitute, Ginger (Kelly Mantle). Ginger helps Ritchie come to terms with why he cannot emotionally connect with his partners before Viagra and prostitutes ruin his life.

Eternity: The Movie is a love letter to the 80s and the iconic flashy music scene. Described as an 80s homage, by Writer/Producer Joey Abi-Loufti and Producer/Editor Eric Staley, the film is a comedy about losers Todd (Barrett Crake) and BJ (Myko Olivier) who meet in the infamous San Fernando Valley and become R&B duo, Eternity. Together they make music only this era of melodrama, big hair, flare and sex can handle.

With lots of laughs, a touch of social commentary and a fabulous supporting cast including Zach McGowan (Black Sails/Shameless), James Immekus (Once Upon a Time, Boxboarders) and Richard Riehle (Office Space, The Man from Earth), Friended to Death is a must see indie comedy.
