Flawless Queen, Taylor Swift, has done it again!  Us Swifties have waited so long and the day is finally here.  The day we get new music, a new video, and info on the new album.  As soon as the clock struck 5:00 I clicked the livestream link and prepared myself to get really, really excited.  Right off the bat Taylor got our attention by having a dance party with everyone in the room to her brand new single, Shake It Off.  Within minutes the song shot to number one on iTunes and even faster than that lodged itself in my brain. Potential Spice Girls and Backstreet Boys Tour: Do You Wanna ‘Spice Up Your Life?’

The Spice Girls (Image Credit: Sarah & Austin Houghton-Bird)

Stop right now. Thank you very much.

If you didn’t get that reference all I have to say is quit playin’ games with my heart.

Okay, okay. I’m done with the lyrics… maybe. Let’s just move on to the more important news which is the rumour that’s floating around claiming that the Backstreet Boys and the Spice Girls are going on a worldwide tour TOGETHER. Be still, my ‘90s heart.

It started off as a huge rumor when mister Brian Littrell reportedly told U.K.’s The Sun, “We are actually in early talks about maybe doing a world tour together with the Spice Girls.” Since then, the Internet has been off the grid trying to confirm or deny these rumors! The recent tweet posted on Brian’s personal twitter made me think it just may happen. All I have to say is, “OH, PLEASE BE SO!”

The last time the world saw the Spice Girls back together was during the 2012 London Olympics and even though it was only two years ago, it still seems like a lifetime. Of course, if there was going to be a tour, we all know Posh Spice won’t be tagging along since you know, not only being married to the most gorgeous guy on earth, she has a fashion business to handle. Let me help you out Posh, I think you should choose the little Gucci dress.

If this was really going to happen, can you imagine how epic that’ll be? I already have some kind of mashup in my head. I envision BSB singing “Quit Playing Games (With My Heart)” while the Spice Girls compete with them singing “Wannabe.” Ooh, chills.

It will literally be a boys versus girls type of concert so I could only imagine what crazy antics would be happening backstage between the two groups. Possibly Sporty Spice and Scary Spice pulling a prank on a member of BSB? Who knows!

What I DO know is the set list I would want to hear from both of them. It includes a LOT of nostalgic songs which is practically a given. If I were in charge, I’d literally call this tour: ‘90s BABIES TOUR.

SPICE GIRLS:

1. Spice Up Your Life
2. Say You’ll Be There
3. Stop
4. Who Do You Think You Are
5. Viva Forever
6. Goodbye
7. 2 Become 1
8. If You Can’t Dance
9. Holler
10. Wannabe

BACKSTREET BOYS:

1. Larger Than Life
2. Hey Mr. DJ
3. As Long As You Love Me
4. I Want It That Way
5. All I Have to Give
6. I’ll Never Break Your Heart — This is the part where they bring up audience members to serenade!
7. Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely
8. Shape of My Heart
9. Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)
10. Quit Playing Games (With My Heart) — This requires the Spice Girls to come back out on stage

I know, I’m missing so much more but hey, they can’t play everything! What would be your ideal set list OR do you even care about a joint tour? Let us know in the comments below!

Whether she’s wearing a dress made of meat, hatching from an egg, riding a unicorn on the red carpet or being puked on by a performance artist, Lady Gaga never fails to get the people talking. Whether it’s good press or bad press is trivial. From the start, Mother Monster has made it quite clear that she won’t be conforming to any type of “rule” or “standard.” She sets her own bar, marches to the beat of her own drum and it’s for these reasons that she remains so utterly fascinating to the general public. If you love her, she’ll embrace you and if you hate her, well, don’t hold your breath thinking it will ever generate a response out of her. Through her latest music video, “G.U.Y.” Lady Gaga makes it clearer than ever that she’s here to stay and refuses to be brought down by anyone wanting to stand in her way. Continue reading

Just in time for the holidays, pop sensation Beyoncé surprised us all by releasing her fifth solo studio album featuring 14 all new tracks and a whopping 17 new music videos! Knowles shocked us all by releasing the album without the pomp and circumstance or publicity and anticipation that typically comes standard when a chart topping, Grammy award winning music sensation releases a new work. She wanted to release the album in a way that had never been done before in order to connect more directly with her fans. Continue reading

When you were a kid, didn’t you enjoy receiving gifts that were covered in bubble wrap? I know that I surely did! I remember taking the bubble wrap and popping the bubbles as fast as I could until there were no more left to pop! I am not even afraid to tell you that I have an app on my iPhone that allows me to pop bubbles and its actually a game! This is no joke… Continue reading
