In Small Time, the already complicated life of used car salesman Al Klein (Christopher Meloni) becomes even more difficult to navigate when his son, Freddy (Devon Bostick), decides to forgo college and follow in his father’s footsteps. As Al teaches Freddy the family business, both he and his son begin a journey of growth and awareness in this moving look at a father-son relationship.

The Daily Quirk caught up with actor Christopher Meloni on the red carpet at the premiere of Small Time at Cinequest Film Festival to talk about his role as Al Klein, a man juggling relationships with his business partner, ex-wife, girlfriend and son, and his upcoming role as Jack Dunlevy in FOX’s Surviving Jack premiering March 27. In Small Time, recent high school graduate Freddy Klein (Devon Bostick), decides college isn’t in the cards for him. Instead, he goes to work with his Dad (Christopher Meloni) at a used car lot and decides to live with him for the first time since childhood. As Freddy learns the family business, both he and his father begin a journey of growth and awareness in this moving look at a father-son relationship.

The Daily Quirk caught up with actor Devon Bostick on the red carpet at the premiere of Small Time at Cinequest Film Festival to talk about his experience in the coming-of-age story, working with “old seasoned pros” like Christopher Meloni (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit), Joel Surnow (co-creator of 24) and Dean Norris (Breaking Bad) and his role as Jasper in The CW’s The 100.
