Stop right now. Thank you very much.
If you didn’t get that reference all I have to say is quit playin’ games with my heart.
Okay, okay. I’m done with the lyrics… maybe. Let’s just move on to the more important news which is the rumour that’s floating around claiming that the Backstreet Boys and the Spice Girls are going on a worldwide tour TOGETHER. Be still, my ‘90s heart.
It started off as a huge rumor when mister Brian Littrell reportedly told U.K.’s The Sun, “We are actually in early talks about maybe doing a world tour together with the Spice Girls.” Since then, the Internet has been off the grid trying to confirm or deny these rumors! The recent tweet posted on Brian’s personal twitter made me think it just may happen. All I have to say is, “OH, PLEASE BE SO!”
The last time the world saw the Spice Girls back together was during the 2012 London Olympics and even though it was only two years ago, it still seems like a lifetime. Of course, if there was going to be a tour, we all know Posh Spice won’t be tagging along since you know, not only being married to the most gorgeous guy on earth, she has a fashion business to handle. Let me help you out Posh, I think you should choose the little Gucci dress.
If this was really going to happen, can you imagine how epic that’ll be? I already have some kind of mashup in my head. I envision BSB singing “Quit Playing Games (With My Heart)” while the Spice Girls compete with them singing “Wannabe.” Ooh, chills.
It will literally be a boys versus girls type of concert so I could only imagine what crazy antics would be happening backstage between the two groups. Possibly Sporty Spice and Scary Spice pulling a prank on a member of BSB? Who knows!
What I DO know is the set list I would want to hear from both of them. It includes a LOT of nostalgic songs which is practically a given. If I were in charge, I’d literally call this tour: ‘90s BABIES TOUR.
1. Spice Up Your Life
2. Say You’ll Be There
4. Who Do You Think You Are
5. Viva Forever
7. 2 Become 1
8. If You Can’t Dance
1. Larger Than Life
2. Hey Mr. DJ
3. As Long As You Love Me
4. I Want It That Way
5. All I Have to Give
6. I’ll Never Break Your Heart — This is the part where they bring up audience members to serenade!
7. Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely
8. Shape of My Heart
9. Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)
10. Quit Playing Games (With My Heart) — This requires the Spice Girls to come back out on stage
I know, I’m missing so much more but hey, they can’t play everything! What would be your ideal set list OR do you even care about a joint tour? Let us know in the comments below!

It has been announced that Avril Lavigne is entering a union even more peculiar than her marriage to Chad Kroeger. On Good Morning America, the Backstreet Boys revealed that she will be a special guest on the U.S. leg of their “In A World Like This” tour, kicking off this summer.
You’ve purchased your tickets. You’ve learned all the words to each song. You’re ready for the day you get to check “see your favorite band live” off your bucket list. Then, suddenly, the show you were so anxious to see gets cancelled. This scenario has happened to many, and 2013 marked many upsets for an array of fan bases. Tours were cancelled left and right this year, causing a huge uproar on social media and in the news. However, one cancelled tour of 2010 still remains the winner, topping all four of 2013 combined. Can you guess whose it was? Continue reading
