There’s no denying that the holidays are supposed to be some of the happiest times of the year. The lights, music and all around “cheer” are supposed to fill your heart with nothing but joy. The Pros and Cons of an Early Holiday Season

Remember being little and impatiently sitting through dozens of Thanksgiving themed crafts in anticipation of when the red and green colored construction paper would finally be taken out in your classroom? Or how you would beg your mom to start the Christmas countdown early because you just could NOT wait for Santa to come?  Apparently, it seems like many people do based on the fact that the Christmas season seems to arrive earlier and earlier every year. It’s as if the entire country has reverted to an eager child that just cannot wait for the big day to get here. Yes, much of this has to do with consumerism, but for the sake of keeping things festive, we’ll turn a blind eye and pretend it’s really all just about the joy and love that is the true meaning of Christmas. Shockingly, we’ve already made it to another year. While some of us may have been counting down since last January for this time to roll around, it still is a little unbelievable how quickly the new year has arrived. Nevertheless, the time has come. There’s no telling what the new year may bring – heartbreak, fortune, success – New Year’s Eve in some ways, can be the deciding factor of this fate. Starting off the year laying on your couch eating Chinese food might seem like a nice evening, but it isn’t setting the bar too high for the rest of the year. So in attempt to plunge yourself into a year greatness, it’s necessary to come up with fun ways to ring in the New Year. Here are a couple of new and not-so new suggestions. Continue reading

The Kardashians shared their 2013 family Christmas card and no matter how you feel about the socialite family, I think we can all agree that the photo is a little odd.

I happen to be one of the people who is rather indifferent to this group, but when I’ve happened upon their Christmas cards in the past, I remember liking them.
