I have been all about fashion DIYs lately. I especially like the ones that teach you how to turn something you already own into a fashionable new creation. Being a bargain shopper extraordinaire, I tend to grab boring or bland pieces that are ridiculously marked down telling myself that I will find a way to glitz them up and make them fabulous. Usually, they just hang in my closet till I give in and wear them in their boring and bland state. This happens a lot with cardigans, which I have an unnatural affinity for and cannot seem to pass up. That being said, you can probably guess how excited I was when I found this How To Make a Paillette Sweater Tutorial by Kristina Clemens for Clothed Much.
I have seen sweaters similar to this going for anywhere from fifty to a hundred dollars at major retailers and being the bargain shopper I am, I always refuse to pay full price. By the time markdowns roll around, all the less stingy shoppers have usually scooped them up leaving me without. Making my own never dawned on me till I came across this tutorial. I immediately raided my cardigan supply to try and figure out which would be the best and plan on making my own this weekend.
